Google search engine homepage got small changes the search results pages and search box size have been increased . The advantage of having large search box is the text you type will appear larger and more clear.
The changes that will affected by increase in Google search box size.
1.The text you type appears large and clear while you type.
2.Search suggestions appear while you type also appear with large text.
For me it does not make any difference though any one feel comfortable seeing large text and more convenient to read. When coming to mathematics though Google search box size increased and is bigger than Bing and it is ahead in search engine share of course :).
