Avast Free Antivirus 2018 with version number 18.1.2326 has been released and available for download. The new Avast 2018 version hasn’t come with major changes, but adds Anti-exploit Module to all versions, which protects against shellcode, exploits and other malicious executable files.
The Avast Free version apart from regular bug fixes, adds behavior shield to minimum installation components. If you don’t know, you can install Avast with minimal protection without installing unnecessary components, you’ll still be protected against threats.
Avast updates and installations won’t fail anymore, thanks to HTTPS server fallback option.
If you try to shutdown Windows during Avast installation, Avast warns about that.
You can now add multiple files to the virus chest at once.
Downloaded files scan takes less time than before.
This version of Avast better handles opening of multiple Avast windows at once.
There is no UI for Anti-Exploit Module, you can disable or enable by visiting the Troubleshooting section in Avast Settings.
