The Reader app from Microsoft available on Windows Store, allows to open and view PDF, XPS and TIFF files. The app is going to be discontinued and won’t be available to use on Windows 10 after February 15, 2018. Microsoft suggests to use Edge for PDF, Windows XPS Viewer for XPS and Windows Photos app for TIFF files.

The Reader app has started informing about this on top of the Window and offers a link at the end of message to open the current file in Edge.

Reader App in the Windows Store will be retired soon

FYI, Reader app now available in Windows Store, once is the built-in PDF Viewer in Windows 8 and Windows 10 Technical Preview. After releasing Windows 10, the Software giant has moved it to Store on December 2011, the app hasn’t been updated since then.
