Opera software has ditched ‘customize Start Page’ configuration and replaced it with Easy Setup panel in Opera 49. The Easy Setup panel which you can find in the top right corner of Start Page, offers switches for themes, wallpapers and to most commonly accessed and modified settings.

You should note and remember this: The start page settings -show speed dial suggestions and Adjust Speed dial animations for slower hardware -on customize Start Page have been moved to Settings > Browser > Start page section.

Opera 49 offers all-in-one easy setup panel

What’s the reason for this change is unknown. “Today’s build introduces “Easy Setup”, which supersedes the previous “Customize Start Page”. ”

“It is not only a refreshed and redesigned view, but it also provides access to a handy, all-in-one setup panel for new or seasoned users to configure Opera’s features. ”

 Opera menu history improvements

Improved History item in Opera menu now displays the same list of recently closed tabs and Windows irrespective of which window you access the menu from. ” This is especially useful when you know that you have closed a tab but can’t remember from which window.”

Closed Windows  are easier to open from History menu item. For instance, if you close a Opera window with 28 tabs, it will be listed as ’28 Tabs – window’ entry under Recently closed in History menu, so you can quickly open that window containing multiple tabs from another window.
