AVG is one of popular free antivirus available on the internet along with Avast and Avira. After installing AVG, you can configure its settings to your liking, for instance, you can disable annoying notifications displayed related to boot time improvements, statistics, AVG Advisor’s or enabling removable device scan.
But if you’ve gone ahead and made too many changes in Settings which you don’t remember and not figured out how to undo them, don’t worry! You can still restore AVG default settings easily, here is how that can be done.
Restoring AVG Default Settings
1. Open AVG UI, click on Menu, choose Settings > Troubleshooting,
2. Click on ‘Restore factory defaults’, and click ‘Reset now’ button.
Please do note, following the above steps resets AVG settings -program and shield settings – to their default values and you’ll loose custom settings and this change can not be undone.
Note: The AVG Settings UI in the above Screenshot is of AVG 2017 .
