Today, the Opera Desktop team has released an update for Opera 48 dev that improves Screen Capture tool (now they’re calling it as snapshot tool) introduced in the previous update and has added Feedback button. The Latter appears for sites before bookmarking icon, allows users to submit issues they experience on sites -whether it can be related to image, video, or page content or any other issue on that page – to Opera programmers.

New Feedback system

Rather than knowing Opera issues through forums, blogs, bug report wizard or Rate Opera dialog available in Settings, Opera has felt adding feedback system into dev and beta as a good idea. Though the information users submit won’t provide them the exact page address, but gives the domain name along with problems connected to it, which could be suffice to investigate and find a solution.

You can disable feedback button on the address bar if you want here is how that can be done.

Settings > Browser> User Interface, uncheck ‘ Enable reporting problems with sites’.

Snapshot tool improvements

The Opera team has upgraded adjustable selection area to include clickable drag points for easier framing. They’ve assigned default shortcut for Snapshot tool, it is Ctrl+Shift+5. Like other shortcuts, it can be changed by visiting keyboard shortcut settings.

Chromium-Based Opera Keyboard Shortcuts

Another notable change included in this update is ““Resume” button is shown when a download was interrupted by closing the browser.”

At present, the screen capture utility isn’t capturing full site, that is a known issue.
