Chrome, Firefox and Vivaldi browsers offer bookmarks export tool which Opera browser lacks, the browser which is based on Chromium allows to import bookmarks and settings only. The company recently has promised they’ll allow Opera users to export bookmarks in version 43, which was not happened and till now users need to rely on extensions for that, which no longer needed as export bookmarks feature has been landed in dev version of Opera 47 and available in bookmarks manager.

Exporting bookmarks in Opera 47

1. Open the bookmarks manager using keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+B on Windows or click on Opera menu > Bookmarks, choose ‘Show all bookmarks’,

2. Click on ‘Export bookmarks’, type the file name and click ‘Save’ button.

3. Done! Opera bookmarks will be saved in HTML file type.
