If you’ve a lot of tabs open in Vivaldi browser, the browser allows to save more resources by allowing to hibernate background tabs. To try it now, right click on active tab and choose’ hibernate background tabs’ option. It’s not easy to spot active and hibernated tabs, where hibernated tab will only be loaded when you select it.

Recently released Vivaldi 1.8 had offered an option in Settings to dim background tabs, which lets you easily identify which tabs are active. Here is how you can make Vivaldi browser to display hibernated tabs in grayscale.

1. Click on v menu icon > Tools > Settings

2. Tabs, under Tab options of Tab Display

3. Check ‘Dim icon when Hibernated‘.
