When you install Snagit, along with it TechSmith Uploader Service will also be installed on your computer. This service registers itself to run on Windows Startup. According to the service properties dialog in the Services console, it has the following description, that doesn’t give the clear idea of what the service actually does.

Here is the description: ‘TechSmith Uploader Service acts as a proxy between recorder and controller/API’

Don’t worry! This Uploader service from TechSmith will only be required when you use TechSmith Relay, if you’re not using the latter, then you don’t need that. Though you can visit Microsoft Windows Services console and, stop &  disable the service, why to turn off the Uploader Service when you can uninstall it. Here is how you can get rid of it.
