Have you seen Edge browser crashing on recently released Windows 10 insider build 14942, you’re not alone, Microsoft has acknowledged the issue with Edge and has provided a workaround that makes the browser to work again. The reason for Edge crash was happening due to a platform change. You need to run the following Powershell command to use Microsoft browser again on your computer.

Fixing Edge browser’s crash on Windows 10 build 14942

1. Click on Start, type powershell, right click on the result on top and select ‘Run as administrator’

2. Run the following command

Get-ChildItem 'HKCU:\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\Children' | foreach {Remove-Item $_.pspath -Recurse}

Note: Running the above Powershell command will clear Edge history and Cookies.
