After Snagit 13.0.1, another minor update for Snagit – Snagit 13.0.2 – has been released and available for Windows, with bug fixes and new tweaks to improve your workflow. This update offers an option in Snagit capture preferences to take precedence over other programs using the same hotkeys.
Getting a dialog before the start of Snagit on your computer that ‘Snagit capture hotkey is in use by another program’ or ‘Unable to register Snagit capture hotkey. Please select a different hotkey’? Commonly, with Dropbox and OneDrive, Snagit triggers these Hotkey Conflict dialogs when Print Screen shortcut was taken over and used by either.
TechSmith’s latest screen capture software comes with a setting, which, when enabled, forces Snagit to take the default hotkey back with this version.
Snagit 13.0.2 lets you Override other hotkey assignments
1. Open Snagit main window, click on File menu and select Capture Preferences
2. Click on Hotkeys and check Allow Snagit to override other hotkey assignments.
3. Click ‘OK’ to apply the changes.
This update has added labels to the Editor toolbar icons and displays them by default, which you can hide. For that, right click on an icon on the toolbar and select ‘icon only’.
You can now assign a new hotkey to stop video capture, the default one is Shift + F10. You can find the option for this in the Hotkyes tab of Capture preferences window.
Apart from the above changes, this update also includes bug fixes and improvements,
