Opera 41 based on Chromium 54 has been landed on the developer stream and is available to download for Windows, Mac and Linux platforms with RSS improvements. If you don’t know developments happened in Opera 40, the next beta version now supports showing RSS in personal news.

RSS Improvements and changes

1. This version improves the RSS Reader further and ensures not to show more recommendations than articles.

2. If you don’t know the exact RSS URL, adding the site URL (you need to provide the full url with http://) is suffice, you’ll then be displayed the feeds site offer, which you can select and add without much of difficultly.

3. You’re allowed to remove pre-listed sources from My Sources, but not Top 50.

4. Article images  get zoomed on hover.

5. This version of Opera no longer shows badge for custom sources.

6. An option has been provided in previewing the source before the addition is now available in this version.

Await for the Opera desktop team to unveil more new features as the version gets developed. Opera 40 stable to get cast streaming permissions by default. The company has plans to enable VPN by default in the beta stream.
