1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Avast Software\Avast
2. If you see any folders there — there will be, that’s why it is reporting– go two steps above the current folder, you should be in Program Files. Select Avast Software and delete the folder and its contents.
3. Attempt to install Avast again, it will without any issues.
