Insider build 10547 comes with fixes to critical error dialog. Critical error dialog with Start menu and Cortana appeared first in the the preview builds, Microsoft has released Windows 10 RTM build 10240 without fixing the the issue, and software giant is yet to fix the issue.

Fixes to Critical Error dialog could well be rolled out to Windows 10 users

Here is some good news! This is what Gabe Aul has said while announcing Windows 10 build 10547 “We have fixed a lot of the underlying causes of the critical error dialog Insiders were seeing with Start. “

And he expects Search to work well with Start without any issues. “And search should work more consistently now when interacting with Start.”

So it’s just a matter of time for Microsoft to fix the start menu and Cortana issue in Windows 10 RTM build 10240 with a major update.
