Windows 10’s General availability date is July 29. From this date to July 29, 2016 users using Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 can able to upgrade their PCs to Windows 10 for free. New Windows Operating system comes built-in with antivirus protection in the form of Windows Defender, you can install other third-party antivirus also on your computer.

If you’re an Avast user and curious to know your favorite antivirus will work on Windows 8 successor, yes it is. Avast declares their latest versions of AV products are compatible with Windows 10. To be more precise, Avast 2015 R2Avast 2015 R2 version and newer are compatible. Current program version number as of today’s date is 2015. 10.2.2218.
