Microsoft is hearing the user feedback and making necessary changes to Windows 10 preview release builds according to it, to the latest, newly released Preview build 9879 available for fast ring users, lets you hide search or task view buttons on the taskbar-, to do that, right click on the taskbar and uncheck the checkboxes for ‘Show Task View button‘ and ‘Show Search button’ (check the screenshot below) – and offers native MKV support.
What’s new in the Windows 10 Preview build 9879?
You can now play MKV files directly in Windows Media Player as well as other desktop and modern apps.
Changes to OneDrive: Starting from this build, OneDrive will use selective sync and you can able to access its files through the File Explorer. To manage OneDrive, right click on its icon in the notification area and click ‘Settings’. You can able to change ‘Auto save’ and choose which folders to be synced offline and more.
In File Explorer, you can pin your favorite folders to Home.
When Microsoft releases new builds, they also release ISO images for the slow ring, but not for the Windows Insiders on the fast ring.
This build will be the last one for this year and new builds will be released in 2015.
