How to Uninstall CCEnhancer?. CCEnhancer (CCE) is a freeware portable tool that expands CCleaner cleaning capabilities by adding support for more programs. This tool does that by adding rules (these are fetched from the Piriform support forum and other sources) and definitions for programs to Winapp2.ini file which Piriform tool uses for cleaning.
The new programs added this way by CCE are shown with asterisk * in Applications tab in CCleaner. After downloading the latest definitions, you may run into a dilemma, how to remove those entries added by CCEnhancer to CCleaner, we’ll tell you how.
Removing new program entries added by CCEnhancer in CCleaner
Uninstalling CCEnhancer : Since CCEnahncer is portable, you can’t uninstall it. Just delete the executable of it you’ve downloaded and saved to your computer before, but that doesn’t remove new application entries embedded into CCleaner? All you need to do is run CCE and from ‘functions’ menu at the bottom, select ‘Delete custom rules’.
If you’ve already deleted CCEs executable, then head to CCleaner installed directory in Program Files – C:\Program Files\CCleaner- and get rid of winapp2.ini file.
