General Elections in India to be held from 7 April to 12 May 2014, about time, Google has launched a new ‘Know your candidates’ tool, which finds and displays information about political candidates contesting for Lok Sabah and your constituency MP when you enter your constituency’s pincode over here in a browser. 

The data displayed has been taken from organizations such as Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), PRS Legislative Research and Liberty Institute India. Candidate Info displayed on left side offers link at bottom to track that MP which takes you to the PSR India website for complete info.

"The tool will provide valuable information for each sitting Lok Sabha MP and contesting candidates such as their disclosed educational background, financial declaration and social media presence (wherever available). The Tool also integrates YouTube candidate bios being produced by Ping Network." said Google Elections team in a blog post.
