Microsoft has released new version for its anti-malware, Microsoft Security Essentials and is available for download. Few days back, Microsoft has made public beta of MSE 4.3 available for testing, now it is out of beta and available for Windows XP, Vista and 7  users. This version changelog is not available at the time of writing this article. We’ll update the article once Microsoft provides it on its website.

Microsoft offers Anti-virus protection for Windows 8 users through Windows Defender instead of MSE, which resembles Security  Essentials interface and offers protection similar to that as well. MSE has compatibility issues with Windows 8, that’s why it won’t work when you install it.
