Adobe has released Adobe Reader XI with support for Windows 8, this version brings new security features and improvements to the table. Adobe Acrobat XI family has been announced on the first of this month, which includes Free Adobe Reader XI, today Adobe made next version of Adobe Reader available for download from their website.
Adobe Reader XI Improvements and new features
Now you can save PDF forms you filled to your hard drive. Sign on PDF documents easily by typing your name or drawing the signature or use scanned image, select sign button from the View menu to get these signature options.
With commenting tools offered in Reader XI, you can highlight, strike through, add comments or sticky notes to the page.
Send PDF file from straight from Reader XI to email client or email services like Gmail and Yahoo, once you add your email account from these, then you can able to attach them to a new email message effortlessly by clicking Email icon on the toolbar.
Adobe Reader XI or 11? Version number confusion
Adobe started mentioning their PDF Reader from Roman Numbers from V10 onwards, now they are officially calling Adobe Reader 11 as Adobe Reader XI. Adobe Reader 11 is simple and easy to write. Don’t know why they ditched that number system and switched to Roman Numbers.
Reader XI is fully compatible with 32 and 64-bit of Windows 8.
