Though all popular browsers such Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari offers built-in Download Manager to download files from websites, these are not enough and not the best choice for large file downloads above 1GB and another downside is download of files can’t be resumed from the beginning if there was a connection failure, where external download managers like IDM and FDM downloads files quickly by splitting a file to smaller ones, later combines them into single file once downloaded. FMD supports resume of file downloads from the beginning. We’ve covered about the release of FDM 3.8 in the past now FDM 3.9 has been released with the Support for Firefox 10-14 and with many bug fixes.
FDM 3.9 adds support for Firefox 10,11, 12, 13 and 14 versions. So FDM will be officially compatible and works with upcoming Firefox 13 and 14 versions without any issues what so ever.
