Google started a new project called Screenwise, which is all about knowing how you use the internet. Interested users can sign up for Screenwise Panel to become a panelist and need to download “Google Screenwise extension” for their Chrome browser which shares with Google the sites you visit and how you use them.

Search Engine Land says the timing of this program is not right, since the users are not happy with recent Google privacy policy changes. This program is completely opt-in.
