VLC bumps its version number from 1.1.X to 2.0 and boasts it brings new interface for Mac, blu-ray disc support and the ability to open more formats, notably 10bits codecs. Also there are many under the hood changes and improvements. VLC is currently working to port its media player IOS and android platforms as well. You can install VLC 2.0 codenamed “TwoFlower” on installed VLC  in your Computer, VLC player 2 setup prompts you to uninstall the older version if you do-new version will be installed.

VLC 2.0 for Mac gets new UI

Mac users rejoice the new single window interface available in 2 colors: Lion grey and QTX  black, no changes in the UI for VLC media player in Windows. This release aimed more at Mac users and with few changes for Windows and Linux users.
