Recently we’ve covered how to backup USB drives and remove temporary files in them, if you ever want to know the details like when you inserted or removed your USB drive USBLogView logs and displays this information on its program window for you. USBLogView is freeware portable app runs silently in the background and records details of any USB device that is plugged or Unplugged into your System.
This program displays the following information for every created log line: Event Type (Plug/Unplug), Event Time, Device Name, Description, Device Type, Drive Letter (For storage devices), Serial Number (Only for some types of devices), Vendor ID, Product ID, Vendor Name, Product Name, and more… . You can export this information by selecting one or more log records into CSV/xml/html/tab-delimited file.
Every time when you plugged /unplugged USB device a new log line will be created and displayed on program window. You can select “put icon on tray” from options to conveniently close the program window without exiting so that recording of USB devices information will continue.
USBLogView works on all Windows.
