Google ditched their horizontal navigation bar and now rolling out Google bar for users gradually for simple and intuitive experience across Google, you may get this today or tomorrow. If you  can’t wait till then, here is a trick get Google bar right now for Google homepage on Chrome and in Firefox.

Getting  Google Bar right now on Google homepage

First you need to download and install Edit This Cookie extension for Chrome, later you can uninstall it if you don’t need. Visit homepage, right-click on the page and select “Edit Cookies” now click on  PREF | to expand & clear everything in value box and copy and paste below value exactly



and click Submit Cookie Changes button at the bottom to save the changes.

Now reload Google homepage, you’ll get Google bar, isn’t it easy? now you can remove Edit This Cookie extension if you think unnecessary. {Thanks to Maximilian Majewski }

Update: in fact even without using any extension, you can activate Google bar for Google homepage, all you need to do is paste the below code in Web Console of Chrome (use Ctrl+Shift +I or Settings>Tools>Developer Tools and Firefox (Firefox menu>Web Developer>Web Console or use Ctrl+ Shift + K).
