Three months back Sophos released free antivirus for Mac, now Comodo joined the free Mac antivirus market by releasing first beta of Comodo Antivirus for Mac which is available for download for testing purposes. So Mac isn’t safe either when compared with Windows as the security vendors feeling right now and releasing their free products to protect Mac users from viruses.
Comodo Antivirus for Mac features

- Offers manual and schedule scanning.
- Is much more like of CAV for Windows and works the same also.
- Password protect CAV’s settings to prevent unauthorized access

Just tried it.
Does not detect EICAR when scanning on-demand.
On Access allows a text file containing the EICAR string to open (Real Time Scanning set to On Access).
False positive: Reports MEMORY.Win32.TextMAte10.6_TEXT.3@3 in TextEdit!
Will not scan a user defined volume/folder/file. Always reverts to scanning “My computer”.
I installed COMODO for Mac OS X.
I cannot uninstall it. It has been creating problems with every installation since I installed it.
HOW DO I UNINSTALL COMODO???
Unfortunately I am not a Mac user, try AppCleaner in Mac to uninstall Comodo and let me know if it worked for you or not.
