How to Disable Retweets of a Particular User In Your Timeline

If you are following a user on twitter interested for his updates not for the retweets he shares, then you can disable or turn off that user’s retweets from appearing in your timeline without the need to unfollow that user, here is how.

Turn off a user’s Retweets 

1. Click that username on Twitter which opens his mini-profile or reach his full profile page by visiting http://twitter.com/username in your browser .

2. Click Green Retweet icon which turns to grey color which means his retweets won’t appear in your timeline.

3. To enable retweets  back again, click greyed retweet icon which turns to green color and his retweets will appear in your timeline.

Mind you can’t turn off retweets from users you are following in your timeline, instead you can unfollow those guys.

Last line contradicts the whole blog post. Can you, or can you not turn off retweets from a user you are following?

Read the sentence correctly, I said users not user.
