Recently Google changed the design of Google images, so the results appear after you performed search in Google images is completely different to old design and Google Images shows continuous flow of images which is discomforting and not liked by lot of users, here is how you can get back to old design of Google image results.
Reverting back to Google images old design
1.Visit images.google.com in your browser
2.Enter the search query in the search box you want to search in Google images and click Search Images.
3.Of course Google Images results will be shown with new design, now go to the bottom of the page and click switch to basic version to get Google image results of old design for that particular search session.
4.Yes you can only get old Google image results for that particular search session using Switch to basic version. You need to do this every time you need to get old design of Google image results.
You can switch to new design by clicking “switch to standard version” button at the bottom of the page.
5.You can also try replacing http://www.google.com/images?q=query with http://www.google.com/images?q=query&sout=1
For example when you want to get flowers in old design of Google images replace “query” with “flowers “ and paste http://www.google.com/images?q=folwers&sout=1 in address bar and press enter.

My internet explorer does not show pictures in the new “standard version”, though I would prefer this. However, there is no “switch to standard version” button at the bottom of the page. My wife is using the exact same version of internet explorer (8.0.6001.18975) and hers has the button and she can switch back and forth between the two versions. What do I do so I can start using the standard version?
