In Gmail, if you don’t want to delete a message, but does not want it to appear in your inbox, you can archive it. This archived message will go to All Mail, where you can click the message and bring back to the inbox.
What is All Mail in Gmail?
All Mail in Gmail is archive, where all the mails you sent and received will be stored except deleted messages. To archive a message, you just have to select a message and click “archive” to move it to the archive without deleting it.
Moving archived messages back to inbox
If you want to move archived messages to the inbox again, select ‘All Mail’ by expanding ‘More’ from the left side. Select the message you like and click “Move to Inbox”. You can also find the archived message by searching in Gmail.
