What is Follow Friday?

Twitter is for conversation, twitter users created  RT, hashtags to spread the messages across the twitter. Lot of twitter users gets confused about follow Friday and what happen on that day. Even users can’t find what is followfriday in Wikipedia .

What is Follow Friday?

On Follow Friday users recommends their followers to follow some other users adding hashtag  before followfriday(#followfriday) in their tweets. Since twitter shows most occurred hashtags in Trending topics , followfriday can appear sometimes on top in Trending topics.

If one mentions or recommends to follow some people, their followers may follow or may not follow depend on their tweets. Another annoying thing that on Friday, this followfriday can give irritation to the users as their stream will be filled with followfriday tweets which may result in unfollowing certain people till they are following as well.
