Java update is a feature that keeps latest java releases up to date .This java update feature will be installed if you install java runtime environment in your machine.it connects to java .com server at a scheduled time and check for java update.if update is available it displays a new update ready to install message in the system tray.
You can observe that Jucheck.exe process is running in the background when you open Task Manager.It consumes lot of memory. .Its the part of Sun Java Checker Update Module for updates of Java.if you think it is not required you can turn off updates of java.
- Click>start>settings>control panel
- Double click Java , then java control panel opens select update tab and disable or uncheck Check for Updates Automatically.
- Click Apply and ok.
Bonus Tip:In General tab of Java Control Panel select click settings in Temporary Internet Files and uncheck keep temporary files on my computer ,click Delete Files to save Disk space,click Apply and ok.
